Sending off 3 tapestries

Yesterday I sent off three pieces of work to far flung places (and not so far flung) and I was surprisingly apprehensive letting them go, it was a bit like sending your children off on a perilous journey. I just hope they all arrive/get back safely (and have a nice time).

Acid dyed wool skeins. First time using vinegar as a fixer (instead of alum)

Fish Eye prep

Busy day, warping, inking cartoon on warp, colour matching from stash and wool prep for dyeing tomorrow. On top of that I wrote a C V, artists statement and did a photo shoot of latest tapestry for an exhibition. Didn’t get much weaving done but all set for tomorrow!  samplingskienstodyewoolgathering cartooninkedin fisheyesketch
